So, I got drunk last night. Finally. I understand why people do it, now. Everything is more fun when you're drunk. Especially video games. And talking to Whitney on the phone. Which I did. Which I don't really remember. But apparently, I spent most of the conversation insisting I wasn't drunk. Yeah, okay, Shane.
I dare any of you to take me on in Guitar Hero while I'm drunk. I am a beast. I set high scores last night that I can't even get near sober. Plus, I beat a boss in Halo 3 on legendary that I couldn't before. I don't remember doing it, but I did. Go me! |

I just found out about a song by Flyleaf that I hadn't heard before. It's called Tina, and apparently, it was only released with a certain version of their album. Well, when I did a google search of "Flyleaf Tina," guess what came up?
That's right.
Guitar Hero 3.
Apparently, if you buy the GHIII soundtrack, it'll come with a code you can use to download three new songs onto the 360 version; those songs include Tina.
I'm sorry, Wii, but 360 has Flyleaf.
I don't think GHIII could possibly get any better now. |

Had a good weekend. On Saturday, I went to the mall and bought several new goodies: a new hard drive for my XBox 360 (it's all better now); a USB charger for my 360 controllers (which will also allow me to use them with computer games); a USB Nintendo Wi-fi transmitter (this allows me to FINALLY be able to connect to the internet with my Wii and DS); a game called Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (a tactical RPG by the same folks who made Odin Sphere, one of the best side-scrollers I've ever played); and last, but most certainly not least, the complete box sets of both Outlaw Star and Azumanga Daioh (my two favortie animes). Overall, it was a nice little splurge-a-thon.
Got my Dr. McNinja t-shirts in the mail today. I now have this one and this one. Awesome stuff.
So, I think that's about it. I've spent the past coupla hours playing my 360 games whose save files I've lost and watching the crazy schoolgirl antics that are Azumanga Daioh. That show NEVER gets old.

So, I guess it's time for an update. College is goin' great. Made a lot of friends really quickly. You've all seen the pictures of Ozzy, the bastard lovechild of Jerry and Justin. Facebook has a couple of pictures of my other friends, including Alex, a kid who looks a lot like Ian...
Anyway, classes aren't too bad. On Wednesday, I got my first work-intensive project due next Wednesday, so methinks I'll spend tomorrow and Sunday in the studio working on that. Today in studio, we're going to the Philadelphia Museum of Art on a field trip. I'll take some pictures, and if any of them are good, I'll stick 'em on Facebook.
Our cafeteria is pretty good. Of course, that's disregarding the mouse I saw in it last week... but other than that, it's delicious. The Student Activities Center (or SAC) has some restaurants in it that take meal plans, too. There's a Taco Bell and a Burger King, but there's also a really good cheese steak place. There's sushi, too, which isn't too bad. And there's a Chinese restaurant, but everything there tastes as though they soaked it in soy sauce. The lo mein noodles are dark brown. *Vomit*
The Tech Center here rocks. It costs $4 to blow a picture up into a photo, so I did that with two pictures of Amy Lee and one of Lacey Mosley. They turned out really well. And for $12, I got three poster for the price of one in a store. Plus, I get the satisfaction of telling people that I took the pictures.
That's about it, for now. Oh! Only Whitney and Sean know this. There's a mentor program in Architecture, and guess who my mentor is? Yep, it's Ian. Which means I get to hang out with him in studio classes. Anyway, it's time to go to the art museum. Later, guys! |
